Frisbee in the shower
Dog Frisbee is a sport with a dog that spread quite unexpectedly and rapidly. And just eight minutes of entertainment was enough in front of the multimillion public that Alex Stein and his dog gave during the break between baseball innings in 1974.
Since then, this entertainment is deeply entrenched in the souls of the owners of four-legged and even turned into a sport.
Between sport and play
This sport, probably, is easier and faster than other types, it allows you to give the dog the necessary load, and even then you need to act carefully, because any high-speed type is traumatic. But you will never find a fat or fat dog among the Frisbee.
Everyone can only envy her physical form, as well as the preparation of the owner of such a dog. Because surely a person, before practicing with his pet, spent hours studying himself technically to throw a disc.
Of the three main disciplines allocated to dog frisbee (throws for accuracy - a disc is caught as many times as possible; throws for a range are three throws, of which the most distant one counts; and frisbee freestyle - tricks to music that ends with catching discs) , the most interesting and highly artistic can be considered a frisbee freestyle. It can be called a symbiosis of canine freestyle and dog frisbee, only the dynamics, speed, complexity and pretentiousness of the tricks here will be much more. It does not require theatricality, as in cynological freestyle, the entertainment of tricks and the technicality of their performance is quite enough.
Achievements and records
Freedom, flying and dogs, and the trainer's imagination - this is what is hidden under this concept. It does not interest the breed, the amount of wool and teeth, color and height - here you need a fuse, desire, drive, speed. And it doesn’t matter whether you will be competing or prefer to have fun with your pet - in any case, a disc plus a dog is the key to a fun and active pastime.
. Oleg Gerich from Lviv and his faithful dog, the Border Collie Jazz, set two records of Ukraine in one year in the disciplines “Rolls for accuracy” (rolls - the disc rolls on the ground, not flies) and “Throws for accuracy”. After all, only hard work and an incredible fuse can contribute to such a well-coordinated work of a person and a four-legged friend.
