"Talisman for good luck": in Lipetsk, a woman was convicted for possession of cartridges donated by a rejected fan

A resident of Lipetsk was convicted of possessing ammunition that a fan gave her as a talisman for good luck. According to the girl, the man sought her attention for a year, but did not succeed and decided to take revenge. He handed her three rounds, and then threw more than 50 ammunition into the apartment and wrote a statement to the police.
However, already in the department, the man confessed to the crime, so the girl was tried only for possession of three cartridges, which she took voluntarily. A criminal case has been filed against the most “hapless boyfriend”, but the girl is afraid that he may escape punishment.

27-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova (name changed) received a suspended sentence, according to her, because of the revenge of a rejected fan.Vladimir Bukatin, a 34-year-old resident of Lipetsk, has been actively courting a girl for several months and even made her an offer, but was refused. As a result, the man handed Ivanova three patrons, saying that it was a talisman for good luck. The girl, because of ignorance of the laws on the inadmissibility of storing ammunition, accepted a gift. Taking advantage of this, Bukatin threw another 51 bullets into Ivanova’s apartment and wrote a statement to the police.

In August 2018, the girl was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 17 by the sentence of the Soviet District Court of Lipetsk. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ammunition storage) and sentenced to a year of restriction of freedom with a written undertaking not to leave the place.

Achieved a year

Ivanova and Bukatin met in a common company a year ago. They were neighbors, and almost immediately the man began to show an active interest in the girl.

“For several months he tried to take care, gave gifts, although he knew that I was meeting with his friend. I tried to transfer some gifts through my parents, brought gifts, congratulated with all the holidays, ”she recalls.

Ivanova emphasizes that she maintained only friendly relations with Bukatin.

“I always told him that I would not be with him. Moreover, it infuriated me that through my parents he was trying to keep in touch, she explained. “I spoke badly about my boyfriend, although this is not true, my parents told various nasty things.”

The final attempt to achieve reciprocity was a marriage proposal. But the girl again refused: "We will not be together, do not even try." The guy still insisted that she took the ring. Catherine accepted the gift, but later got rid of it.

So do not you get to anyone

According to Ivanova, the annoying boyfriend decided to take revenge immediately after refusing to marry him.

“In November, he gave me three rounds - one of them turned out to be pneumatic. I did not know what it is. He said it was a lucky charm. I threw them into the box from the ring and put them on the sideboard, ”she said.

When in March 2018, Catherine celebrated her birthday, Bukatin again came to visit.

“He stood in the corridor, from where the entrance to the bathroom and the door is always open. I did not let him go to the apartment. He asked to bring some water. I went to the kitchen, I was not there for some time, ”recalls the girl.

The same evening, the police and dogs came to Ivanova’s apartment to search.

Later in the department, the man said that at the time when Ivanova was away, he threw 51 live ammunition and a bag of marijuana under the bath. True, the examination showed that instead of the drug in it was green tea.

The corpus delicti under Article 222 of the Criminal Code was obvious. Fearing for her fate, Ivanova immediately agreed to the consideration of the criminal case in a special order.

As her lawyer Valery Beketov notes, he represented the interests of the girl only at the trial, and she made the decision on the deal with justice during the preliminary investigation. Beketov emphasizes that his client admitted his guilt.

“At the trial, I said that I did not know that these were ammunition. I thought it was just bullets. And in general I thought that it was a talisman, as he said, ”confirms the girl.

Beketov, in turn, recognizes that ignorance of the law is no excuse. In addition, in his opinion, the court issued Ivanova the most lenient sentence. “The judge gave the least that is possible under this article. Corrective labor is not provided, “- explains the lawyer.

As reported by RT in the management of the Ministry of Interior in the Lipetsk region, against Ivanova, a criminal case was initiated only on the storage of three cartridges.

“During the investigative measures, the information that the man planted 51 bullets in the bathroom of a 27-year-old woman was taken into account. According to this fact, in March 2018 a criminal case was initiated against a 34-year-old suspect under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code ", confirmed in the press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Now, when the sentence has already been passed, Ivanova has a chance to appeal against it.

“I want to appeal, but I have no lawyer or connections. I do not know what to do in such situations, how to appeal the verdict, where to go, ”she said.

"I am afraid to go out"

Catherine notes: "Even the judge asked if everything was in order with his head." Now she is worried that Bukatin can shirk responsibility and “wipe out something again.” Ivanova fears for her safety, considering that Bukatin is unhealthy.

“I’m afraid to go out. He used to follow me, and then he pounced on me at the entrance. He threatened to shoot me. Even if I thought of throwing the cartridges, then I’m exactly ready for everything, ”says the victim.

Bukatin works as a foreman at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine. The girl notes that the man began to behave strangely after having an accident.

“After a bottle of wine, I got behind the wheel and went to work, did not give way to the car, and crashed. Maybe after that he has mental problems. He took a pistol and shot at road signs, shot at the school grounds at the pillars, ”she explains.

Bukatin himself refused to communicate.

The head of the intensive care clinic “Doctors” psychiatrist Sergey Nurislamov is sure that the persistent suitor will not be able to avoid criminal responsibility.

“If he substituted her, was a false witness, transported cartridges and threw them, they will give him a normal term or replace him with treatment in a psychiatric hospital,” the expert believes.
