Nicolas Lepiller is a French photographer from Montreal, Province of Quebec. Nicholas travels a lot and loves to photograph cities and countries, creating visual stories about local life.
Nicaragua - the second country in terms of poverty in Latin America. The earthquake, two civil wars and high debt only worsened the situation since the 1970s. The country is heavily dependent on international assistance, which also comes from the United States.
The Lepiller series on Nicaragua aims, on the one hand, to tell about the everyday life of little-known residents, and on the other, to reflect on the consequences of large commercial projects in our world, such as the channel between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Many of them can literally transform the economic life of a country.
